The Bridge Growth & Delivery Leader is a seller–doer–leader responsible for advancing share, leading bridge programs, and delivering high-quality technical solutions. This role balances strategic client development with project leadership and technical delivery, driving both revenue growth and execution excellence across a portfolio of structure and bridge transportation projects.

As Bridge Growth & Delivery Leader you will serve as a key figure in advancing both the firm’s presence and the successful execution of structure and bridge transportation projects. In this role, you will actively cultivate and strengthen relationships with key clients such as state and local transportation agencies, positioning the firm for continued growth and repeat business. You will anticipate client needs, identify emerging opportunities, and lead strategic pursuits—including proposals, interviews, and presentations—that directly shape the future pipeline of work. 

At the same time, the role is deeply embedded in project delivery. The you will oversee a portfolio of concurrent projects, ensuring that each is executed with consistency, efficiency, and quality. You will guide projects from early planning and visioning through execution and closeout, managing risk, maintaining schedule and budget performance, and supporting project managers in resolving challenges related to staffing, scope, and delivery. A critical component of the role is providing a high-level of technical leadership, serving as a trusted technical authority on projects and contributing to solving challenging engineering problems.

When you join us, you’ll be responsible for:

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships with key transportation agencies (e.g., VDOT), positioning the firm for repeat business and long-term partnerships 

• Identify and pursue new opportunities to grow the bridge , contributing to increased share and backlog.

• Lead strategic pursuits, including proposals, interviews, and presentations, to secure new work and expand the project pipeline.

• Oversee and lead the delivery of multiple concurrent structure and bridge transportation project.

• Manage all phases of project delivery, from planning and design through execution and closeout, with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, and risk.

• Provide technical leadership on bridge and structural projects.

• Champion and enforce QA/QC processes.

• Represent the firm in client meetings, industry events, and public forums.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

• Significant experience in structural engineering, design management, and project management with a focus on bridge or complex structures.

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

•12+ years of progressive experience in bridge/structural engineering, including design and project management

• Established relationships with VDOT or other state/local agencies.

• Proven success as a PM on transportation projects.

• Proven ability to win work and contribute to business development

• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Working knowledge of VDOT standards, practices, and design procedures.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.

• A strong professional network and active involvement in industry organizations.

• Experience managing multidisciplinary projects for a variety of transportation clients.

Posted Salary Range: Minimum

150,000.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

185,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $150,000.00 to $185,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
