The selected candidate will coordinate daily shipments, receive incoming materials, maintain accurate inventory records, and support warehouse operations.
Shipping and Receiving Coordinator Responsibilities
- Prepare, pack, label, and ship orders using appropriate shipping methods
- Prepare bills of lading and verify shipments against sales orders
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips
- Enter and maintain inventory transactions using an ERP system
- Operate forklifts, hand pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and report issues
- Maintain an organized shipping and receiving area using 5S practices
- Handle HAZMAT materials, labels, and required MSDS documentation
- Minimum 6 months of shipping and receiving experience
- Forklift experience is required
- Ability to work with computers and enter information into an ERP system
- Knowledge of postal and commercial shipping methods and procedures
- Ability to sort, count, check, and verify quantities and information
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Texas driver's license or equivalent
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and meet schedules
