Wireless Techs (Tower Climbers, Small Cell & DAS Techs)

Job Summary The Wireless Tech will be responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wireless communication systems and equipment. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about technology and looking to grow their careers in the wireless communications field. Bucket Truck & Climbing Exp. Preferred. Key Responsibilities Assist in the installation and configuration of wireless communication systems, including antennas, routers, and repeaters. Installing antenna & wireless equipment at heights from 40'‑400' on towers, poles and other structures. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on wireless network equipment to ensure optimal performance. Support the testing and validation of wireless signals and performance metrics. Work collaboratively with senior technicians to identify and resolve technical issues reported by customers. Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of service activities and customer interactions. Follow company policies and safety procedures while on-site at customer locations. Stay up-to-date with the latest wireless technologies and industry trends. Provide excellent customer service and support during onsite visits and over the phone. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in a related field preferred. Basic understanding of wireless communication technologies (Wi‑Fi, LTE, etc.). Familiarity with networking concepts and equipment. Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and customers. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Preferred Skills Previous experience or internships in the telecommunications or IT fields. Knowledge of network troubleshooting tools and software. Certifications related to wireless technology (e.g., CWNA, CCNA) are a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
