Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for a substantial, long-term locum tenens program in Colorado Springs, Colorado .

This opportunity supports three cross-credentialed hospital sites within one regional anesthesia program, with approximately 30 shifts of coverage needed each month through September 2028 . CRNAs practice solo in the operating room under anesthesiologist supervision across a diverse case mix that includes general surgery, trauma, cardiac, and OB.

Schedule Options
Coverage needs include:
  • 8-Hour: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 10-Hour: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 12-Hour: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 24-Hour In-House Call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
  • Night Beeper Call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Call includes a 30-minute response requirement when applicable.
Scheduling and individual shift availability vary across the three participating hospitals.

Anesthesia Practice Environment

CRNAs work within an established anesthesia care-team model alongside CRNAs, AAs, and a group of approximately 37 anesthesiologists .
Operating room capacity varies by hospital, with the participating sites supporting approximately 16, 6, and 2 operating rooms .

CRNAs are solo in the room while practicing under anesthesiologist supervision .

Case Mix
Cases may include:
  • General Surgery
  • Trauma
  • Cardiac / Heart Cases
  • Obstetrics
Cardiothoracic or trauma experience is particularly valued.
OB experience is preferred but not required.

Regional blocks are performed by anesthesiologists and are not a CRNA responsibility within this program.

Who We're Seeking
This opportunity is best suited for an experienced CRNA comfortable independently managing the anesthetic in the operating room within a supervised care-team model.

Candidates should have:
  • Current CRNA certification / appropriate board status
  • Active Colorado license or ability to obtain appropriate Colorado licensure
  • Current ACLS
  • Recent hospital-based anesthesia experience
  • Comfort with complex surgical cases
  • Ability to work across multiple hospital locations
  • Strong professional and credentialing history
Experience with trauma and/or cardiothoracic anesthesia is preferred.
Important Eligibility Requirements
Because of client-specific program requirements:
  • Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the participating facility locations
  • Candidates currently working at any participating hospital are not eligible for presentation
  • Candidates must have a clean malpractice history with no closed malpractice cases
  • Providers must be comfortable moving forward based on the documented opportunity and credentialing information, as the clinical team is not conducting phone interviews
