Lead Service sales person (Grand Rapids Metropolitan Area)

Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Lead Service Sales role based in the Grand Rapids Metropolitan Area, with some flexibility to work from home. The Lead Service Sales person will be responsible for identifying and developing commercial and industrial service opportunities, including maintenance and installation contracts with general contractors, property managers, and other key accounts. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting site visits, preparing estimates and proposals, and following up to close service agreements. The role will work closely with service technicians, project managers, and leadership to ensure accurate scopes of work, competitive pricing, and timely delivery of services. The Lead Service Sales person will also maintain an active pipeline, track activity in the CRM, and support customer retention through regular communication and service reviews.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in B2B service sales, preferably in HVAC, building services, or related technical industries.
• Strong skills in prospecting, lead qualification, proposal development, and closing deals.
• Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts related to HVAC systems, controls (including Tridium), and commercial building operations.
• Proficiency with CRM tools, basic office software, and digital communication platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build rapport with clients at multiple organizational levels.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-through abilities to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines.
• Experience working with general contractors, property management firms, or industrial clients is highly beneficial.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for client meetings and site visits.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
