Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Seattle, Washington.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: CVICU\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Duration: 18 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, rotating\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Rotating, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 28, 2026\n Length: 18 weeks\n Openings: 2\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring prior travel experience and 2+ years of CVICU nursing.Details\n \n Magnet-designated teaching hospital with 637 staffed beds\n Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) setting caring for cardio-thoracic patients including heart and lung transplant cases\n 1:1 patient ratios\n Day shift (0700-1930) or Night shift (1900-0730), 3x12-hour schedules\n Weekend shifts required unless otherwise stated on posting\n Floating required within hospital to other ICU units, no floating to sister hospitals\n No on-call requirements\n Uses EPIC charting system\n Scrubs of any color permitted\n Requirements\n \n Active WA state or compact RN license, pending license accepted\n Current BLS and ACLS certification required\n Must pass Relias EKG telemetry compliance test\n Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required, open heart experience preferred\n Prior travel nursing experience required\n Experience with ventilators, IV starts, PA lines/Swan-Ganz monitoring required\n Experience with Impella, IABP, and LVAD/RVAD required\n Proficiency with pacers and post-op cardiac care required\n Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and cardiac emergency response\n Lung and heart transplant experience preferred\n EPIC charting experience preferred but not required\n Additional Information\n \n Provide critical care nursing to complex cardiovascular and cardiothoracic patients\n Perform continuous cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response\n Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers\n First-time travelers will not be considered for this role\n Prior UW Medical Center staff must have a separation period of 18 months before returning as a traveler\n RTO limited to 7 days in November/December, spanning no more than 1 holiday, and must work 2 of the 3 major holidays\n COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-753112.
