This assignment provides concurrent urological call coverage for two inpatient hospital facilities, one of which holds a Level I trauma designation, supporting urology needs across a combined service area spanning approximately 320 miles. Coverage is approved through August 2027, with initial dates running November 2026 through January 2027 and ongoing scheduling to be released beginning February 2027. The facilities operate without dedicated backup call coverage for urology, with the ability to transfer patients between sites as clinical needs arise.

The Pikes Peak region of Colorado offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and cultural attractions suited to varied interests. Natural landmarks in the area include Pikes Peak and the Garden of the Gods, where visitors may hike, view wildlife, and explore geological formations. Additional attractions include the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Broadmoor Seven Falls, the Manitou and Pikes Peak Railway, and opportunities for rafting on the Arkansas River, providing clinicians with diverse options during time away from clinical duties.

This locum tenens assignment requires a urologist to provide concurrent 24-hour call coverage across two inpatient hospital sites on an on-site basis, with shifts running 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM and including 4 gratis hours per shift. Clinicians will respond to urology needs via phone - including physician-to-physician consults, regional transfer line calls, and clinical or nursing guidance - as well as in person when on-site care is required. Surgery is within the scope of this assignment, and clinicians are expected to round on patients following paged or on-site care. Clinical documentation must be completed using the EPIC EMR system. Board certification in Urology and prescriptive authority are required for consideration, and a 30-minute on-site response time is expected when called.
