Substation Electrical Protection and Controls Engineer - Lead, Remote

Lead Protection and Control EngineerControlPoint Technologies is seeking a Lead Protection and Control Engineer to provide project support within our Substation Protection and Control Engineering team. Candidates must have direct experience with substation protection and control projects for electric utilities. The projects will range from 4kV to 345kV and the candidate will be client facing and interface with the other disciplines. Project Management skills and ability to meet critical deadlines are required. Must be an outgoing team player with the ability to provide client confidence.Technical Responsibilities:One LinesThree Line diagramsAC and DC schematicsSCADA/RTU system designPanel layouts and WiringBill of Material DevelopmentCoordination with other disciplines (Civil/Structural, Substation)Relay Settings experience is a plusProject Engineering Responsibilities:Project Engineering LeadProvide guidance and mentorship within engineering and design teamEnsure team consistency with design standardsPerform quality control/assurance reviewsProject support from scoping to final design and project closeoutConstruction SupportStrong client focus and customer serviceExcellent communication skillsQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical EngineeringProfessional Engineering Licensure (PE) is required, will accept candidates with Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) on path to Professional Engineering licensure.Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in electric utility industryExperience in utility substation engineering with focus on design packagesExcellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
