The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job summary: RWJBH is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider for our Trauma/Acute Care Surgery Service at the New Brunswick Campus Essential Functions: Candidates should possess effective time management and trauma assessment skills Must be able to adapt and adjust to a large volume of acute patient population This is a daytime role only The APPs work in collaboration with the acute care surgical residency to provide high level care for trauma and acute care surgery patients Care provided the majority as inpatient with flexing to outpatient when required, Education: Graduate of an Acute Care NP program Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Experience: Skills with procedures such as chest tube placement, suturing, and wound care are preferable 2 years of Trauma/Acute Care Surgery experience preferred Must be able to work autonomously and be willing to provide support to surgical residency programs Licenses and Certifications: Current NJ APN/PA license required National certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited certifying body required NCCPA certification required CDS required DEA required BLS required ACLS required ATLS required Benefits and Perks: Paid Time Off (PTO) Medical and Prescription Drug Insurance Dental and Vision Insurance Retirement Plans Short & Long Term Disability Life & Accidental Death Insurance Tuition Reimbursement Health Care/Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts Wellness Programs Voluntary Benefits (e.g., Pet Insurance) Discounts Through our Partners such as NJ Devils, NJ PAC, Verizon, and more!
