Join our Pediatric Ophthalmology group at UPMC in Pittsburgh, PA

Position Overview The Vision Institute at UPMC is seeking a Pediatric Ophthalmologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level who will join our team. The new associate will practice truly collaborative care and is encouraged to develop an area of subspecialist interest. Responsibilities Help grow the department's well‑established multidisciplinary care pathways by fostering ties to primary and specialty care physicians both inside and outside the department. Focus on patient care, teaching, and research. Duties include didactic and clinical training of residents and fellows, and collaboration with a dedicated molecular biologist, vision scientist, electrophysiologist, research coordinator, and two ophthalmic genetic counselors. The position will be based at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, UPMC Lawrenceville, with clinics at nearby satellite offices and surgery centers. The department is equipped with collagen cross‑linking, a myopia treatment center, and the latest imaging equipment including integrated intraoperative OCT, eye movement recordings, and a full visual electrophysiology lab.
