Automotive Technician Position
Vallejo Hyundai is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our service team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles while delivering high-quality workmanship and efficiency.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, productive, and committed to fixing vehicles right the first time while maintaining strong productivity and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Hyundai and pre-owned vehicles
- Accurately identify mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns
- Complete repair orders efficiently and according to dealership and manufacturer standards
- Maintain high levels of productivity and minimize comebacks
- Perform multi-point inspections and recommend needed services
- Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle status and repairs
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Stay up to date with Hyundai training and certifications
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an automotive technician required
- Hyundai or OEM certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment
- Own tools required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
