Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Surgical 3B

Position Details: Nurses work 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am with rotational weekends. Full Time and Part Time available.

Qualifications: Education:

Graduate or upcoming Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program. Licensure:

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements. Certifications:

Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Physical requirements/demands:

Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Unit Information: The Surgical 3B unit has 32 patient beds, with a nurse to patient ratio of 1-6 on days and nights. This unit is a fast-paced medical surgical telemetry floor which focuses on pre- and post-surgical patients, with a focus on GI, Urology and ENT surgeries. The Surgical 3B unit offers the opportunity to learn and perfect critical nursing skills such as: Head to toe assessments Telemetry monitoring NG tubes IV insertions CBI's Chest tubes, Trach and ostomy care Drains Wound Care
