Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse in Torrance, California. This position requires the candidate to work in a busy acute care hospital setting, providing specialized surgical nursing care. The role involves assisting with a variety of complex surgical procedures, including gynecologic, orthopedic, and robotic surgeries. Candidates are required to bring their California nursing license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 07/20/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid California nursing license; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; 1 year of operating room experience; experience with EMR systems Epic and Cerner preferred; at least 1 year of trauma level 1 experience; teaching hospital experience preferred
• Certifications: BLS
• Additional Information: Must be willing to work one Saturday shift in a 6-week rotation and 2-3 on-call shifts within the same rotation; commitment to working three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day) is required. The position may require float between units and facilities within the state. Candidate must have a current LA fire card within the last 30 days. References covering the last 12 months are required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in operating room settings, with trauma level 1 experience preferred
• Location: Torrance, California, 4101 Torrance Boulevard
• Open to First-Time Travelers: Yes
• Travel Compliance: SSN and DOB required; RTO restrictions must be detailed at submission; specific amount of experience required; valid state license must be in hand; local candidates considered if within 50 miles; no open license hits allowed; must disclose license and background check hits upfront; return staff eligible after 3 months.
• Additional Notes: Candidates must confirm previous experience at Providence facilities, availability for start date ASAP, and understanding of floating requirements.
