PURPOSE:

To provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner.

JOB SUMMARY:

Operate a company tractor-trailer out of the Nitro, WV depot on the North route, delivering clean linen carts and picking up soiled linen carts at Monongalia County General Hospital, Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, Preston Memorial Hospital, and Mon Health Marion Hospital. This is an extended route involving multi-hour drive segments to north-central West Virginia. Dispatch from the depot at 5:00 AM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Report for a 4:00 AM load time and meet the 5:00 AM depot dispatch time every scheduled day
• Follow the assigned multi-stop route sequence exactly as scheduled
• Safely load and unload linen carts at each stop, staying within trailer capacity limits
• Meet the customer's 4-hour delivery window at every stop
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle and trailer inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately
• Maintain DOT compliance and follow hours-of-service rules on this extended-drive-time route
• Establish a professional relationship with customers and provide quality customer service
• Have excellent attendance and meet established route schedules
• Follow all company safety rules and policies
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized vehicle, trailer, and work area
• Accurately complete required daily paperwork/handheld device entries for cart counts

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cross-train on other tractor-trailer or box truck routes per department needs
• Perform equipment moves to service provider for repairs and service as needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Clean driving record per company policy
• Six months to one year of tractor-trailer experience
• Comfortable with extended long-haul driving (round-trip route can run up to ~9-10 hours on the road)
• Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)
• Be able to lift 25 lbs. overhead
• Be able to sit in a vehicle for extended periods per day
• Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling
• Be available to meet a 5:00 AM dispatch time up to 5 days/week

Ability to speak and read the English language
