Important Requirement

• Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required.

Basic Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of operating and maintaining vehicles, pumps, farm machinery, and equipment used in water or wastewater treatment facilities.
• Experience using common hand tools and power tools.
• Familiarity with performing general maintenance on buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Utility Worker, you will support the operation and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment facility by performing a variety of general labor and maintenance tasks, including:

• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Clean vehicles, pumps, heavy equipment, tools, barscreens, digesters, drying beds, and other plant equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and machinery, including basic preventive maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication, and greasing.
• Maintain facility grounds by mowing grass, trimming trees and shrubs, removing weeds, collecting debris, and caring for landscaping.
• Operate vehicles and equipment to load, transport, unload, and spread materials such as sand, gravel, dirt, sludge, and other waste products.
• Dig and refill trenches and ditches as needed for maintenance activities.
• Assist operations and maintenance staff by transporting and handling tools, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain accurate records of materials hauled by contractors or applied to agricultural sites.
• Follow all safety procedures and comply with company policies.
• Communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and supervisors.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.
