Medical Laboratory Technician - PRN

Labcorp

Labcorp seeks a PRN Clinical Laboratory Technician Generalist for Ascension St. Thomas Hickman in Centerville, Tennessee. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality in a high-volume environment with flexible, as-needed scheduling.

Responsibilities

Assess specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper function
Perform preventive maintenance, quality control procedures and document results
Prepare and evaluate new reagents or controls as needed

Requirements

Associate's degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
Minimum 3 months clinical laboratory testing experience or MLT degree
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings
Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
Pass standardized color blindness test
ASCP or AMT certification preferred
