THE ROLE

As a Dining Room Manager, you lead a zone of the dining room and own the guest experience inside it. You run your section of the floor, coach your team in the moment, and keep service sharp from the first table touch to the final goodbye. The goal is simple and not easy: every guest leaves with a memory worth talking about. You will report to the AGM or GM on duty, who leads pre-shift and handles cross-zone escalations. This is a hands-on, in-person leadership position with real room to grow your career with us.

• Lead service in your assigned zone and hold every table to Meat Market standards
• Conduct preshift line checks, station readiness walks, and tablebytable quality checks
• Coach servers and back servers in real time and reinforce steps of service
• Touch tables throughout service, read the room, and adjust pacing before guests have to ask
• Build relationships with regulars and new guests alike, and give them a reason to come back
• Recognize birthdays, anniversaries, and other celebrations, and communicate those details to your team
• Capture guest preferences, allergies, and special requests and make sure the team acts on them
• Handle guest concerns and feedback in your zone with speed and grace, escalating to the AGM or GM on duty when appropriate
• Partner with the kitchen and bar on timing, ticket flow, and special requests
• Support the beverage program on the floor, including wine service, craft cocktails, and staff product knowledge
• Support VIP, large party, and private event execution alongside the management team
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and developing dining room staff, and hold them accountable to Meat Market standards
• Enforce dress code, appearance standards, and standards of conduct on your team
• Document performance issues and support Progressive Discipline under AGM or GM direction
• Maintain cleanliness, side work completion, and endofshift closing standards in your zone
• Complete assigned endofshift reporting accurately and on time
• Use Toast, Sling, OpenTable, and Tripleseat as required for service, scheduling, and reservations
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Minimum 2 years of restaurant leadership experience, preferably in a fine dining or upscale setting
• Strong floor presence and the ability to lead a team in a fastpaced, highvolume dining room
• Working knowledge of fine dining service standards, wine service, and steps of service
• Familiarity with an extensive wine list and a craft cocktail program, and the ability to teach it to a team
• A natural ability to connect with guests and build lasting relationships
• Excellent guest recovery skills and sound judgment under pressure
• Experience hiring, training, and developing a service team
• Experience with restaurant technology, including POS, scheduling, and reservation platforms
• Proficiency with Toast, OpenTable, and Sling is a plus
• A coachable spirit and a commitment to continual improvement
• Solid understanding of foodsafety, alcohol service, and sanitation standards
• Food Manager and alcohol service certifications, or willingness to obtain them
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
