Clinical Nurse Coordinator OR

We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator – OR to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our perioperative department. In this full-time role, you will blend direct patient care with clinical leadership responsibilities, helping to ensure that every surgical patient receives safe, efficient, and patient-centered care throughout their perioperative journey.

As the Clinical Nurse Coordinator – OR, you will coordinate the day-to-day clinical operations of designated operating rooms, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members. You will oversee patient flow, case prioritization, and room turnover, helping to maximize OR efficiency while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and infection prevention. Serving as a clinical resource at the point of care, you will support OR nurses and surgical technologists with complex cases, problem-solving, and decision-making in a fast-paced acute care environment.

This position involves providing expert perioperative nursing care, including pre-operative and intraoperative assessments, circulator and scrub responsibilities as appropriate, vigilant monitoring of patient status, and effective communication with the surgical team. You will model best practices in aseptic technique, surgical safety checklists, and evidence-based protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. The role includes active participation in quality improvement initiatives, data review, and implementation of process changes designed to improve patient outcomes, patient experience, and operational performance.
