Supply Chain Manager- University Park, IL

Verdant Specialty Solutions is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead supply chain execution at our University Park, Illinois manufacturing site.

This is an onsite leadership role with responsibility for connecting customer demand, production capability, materials, inventory, warehousing, and logistics to keep products moving safely, reliably, and efficiently.

We’re looking for someone who can see the entire supply chain, anticipate constraints, make smart tradeoffs, and bring Operations, Commercial, Procurement, Customer Service, and other teams together around a plan that works.

What You’ll Own

• Lead the site Sales, Operations & Inventory Planning (SOIP) process, translating demand, capacity, material availability, and inventory targets into an executable supply plan
• Own production planning and scheduling in partnership with Operations
• Drive inventory strategy, forecasting, accuracy, optimization, and working-capital improvement
• Ensure raw materials and packaging are available to support production while maintaining appropriate inventory levels
• Lead site logistics, warehousing, and production-support activities
• Oversee outbound transportation, distribution, carrier performance, and freight execution
• Coordinate third-party storage, toll manufacturing, and applicable trading activities
• Establish and monitor supply chain KPIs, identify root causes, and lead corrective actions
• Develop and continuously improve supply chain processes, controls, and cross-functional ways of working
• Lead and develop the site supply chain team
  
   

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of progressive supply chain experience, including leadership of planning, inventory, logistics, or related activities
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
• Strong experience with production planning and scheduling, inventory management, logistics, and cross-functional supply chain execution
• Experience in chemical, process, or complex manufacturing strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance customer service, production constraints, inventory, cost, and working-capital priorities
• Experience with ERP and supply chain systems; SAP experience is a plus
