Or are you interested in learning a skilled trade and building a career in fine furniture manufacturing?Stickley is seeking an Inside Upholsterer - Tufting to join our Upholstery Manufacturing team in Archdale, North Carolina. We welcome experienced upholsterers as well as motivated individuals who are eager to learn. For the right candidate, Stickley provides hands-on training, coaching, and support to develop the specialized skills needed to create high-quality upholstered furniture.This is a hands-on role where your work directly impacts the comfort, appearance, and quality of every piece produced. You will be part of a skilled manufacturing team that values craftsmanship, attention to detail, and pride in building furniture designed to last for generations.What You'll DoRead production tickets, work orders, and special instructions to complete each piece accuratelyPerform inside upholstery work on fine custom furniture using fabric and leatherApply cotton, rubber, padding, and other materials to seats, inside backs, and armsUpholster fabric or leather smoothly and securely to ensure proper fit and finishPerform hand-tufting or machine-tufting work according to product specificationsCreate clean, consistent pleats, tufting, and finished detailsLearn and apply Stickley's upholstery methods, quality standards, and craftsmanship expectationsSafely use upholstery tools and equipment, including staple guns, scissors, regulators, button needles, staple pullers, pliers, and measuring toolsMeet production schedules while maintaining a high level of quality and craftsmanshipInspect completed work and make corrections when neededScan completed and approved pieces according to established proceduresMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaWork collaboratively with team members and other production departmentsWhat You'll BringExperience in upholstery, furniture manufacturing, sewing, woodworking, or another hands-on skilled trade is preferredExperience with inside upholstery, hand-tufting, or machine-tufting is a plusExperience working with fabric and/or leather is preferredStrong attention to detail and pride in producing quality workGood hand-eye coordination and the ability to work accurately with hand toolsAbility to follow work instructions, measurements, and product specificationsDependability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learnAbility to work effectively as part of a teamInterested in learning upholstery?
