Forklift Operator

Job Details Job Location: Century Fire Protection, Duluth - Duluth, GA 30096 Position Type: Full Time Travel Percentage: None Div 99, Duluth GA. Summary Responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material‑handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store materials. Ensures accurate handling of products while following safety procedures, company policies, and operational requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate forklifts (sit‑down, stand‑up, reach, pallet jack, or other industrial trucks) to move materials and products. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently. Transport materials to designated storage or production areas. Verify and maintain accurate inventory counts through proper handling and documentation. Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Follow all safety guidelines, OSHA regulations, and company policies. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist with general warehouse or yard duties as needed. Education and/or Experience High school diploma and 1-2 years’ experience; certification preferred. Computer Skills Basic computer or handheld device skills for inventory tracking and documentation. Physical Demands Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods; frequently required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, climb, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work in a variety of environments, including indoor, outdoor, hot, cold, or noisy conditions.
