Our client, a family office located in midtown Manhattan, is looking to hire a Senior Treasury Associate to join their team.

Position Summary

The Temporary Treasury / Cash Management Associate will be responsible for the accurate and timely execution of daily cash management functions, including wire transfers, ACH processing, bank reconciliations, and cash positioning across multiple entities and bank accounts. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, discretion with sensitive financial information, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, confidential environment.



Key Responsibilities

Wire Transfers & ACH Processing

• Prepare, verify, and process outgoing domestic and international wire transfers
• Initiate and monitor ACH transactions (debits/credits) across multiple accounts
• Ensure proper documentation, dual approval, and authorization protocols are followed for all wire and ACH activity
• Coordinate with banks to confirm timely execution and resolve any transaction issues or delays

Cash Management & Reconciliation

• Perform daily cash reconciliations across multiple bank accounts and entities
• Monitor daily cash positions and prepare cash balance reports
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and internal ledgers
• Track incoming and outgoing cash flows to ensure sufficient liquidity for scheduled disbursements

Banking & Account Administration

• Manage relationships and day-to-day communications with banking partners
• Set up, maintain, and update banking platforms, user access, and account signatories as needed
• Assist with opening/closing bank accounts and maintaining account documentation
• Monitor account fees, interest income, and banking service charges

Reporting & Compliance

• Maintain accurate records and audit trails for all treasury transactions
• Support month-end and year-end treasury reporting
• Assist with fraud prevention controls (positive pay, dual authorization, callback verification)
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures related to cash movement

Administrative & Ad Hoc Support



• Assist with special projects related to treasury operations, banking transitions, or system implementations
• Provide backup support to other finance/accounting team members as needed
• Maintain organized digital and physical records of banking documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of experience in treasury, cash management, or banking operations (family office, private bank, or corporate treasury experience a plus)
• Hands-on experience preparing and processing wire transfers and ACH transactions
• Proficiency with online banking platforms (e.g., J.P. Morgan Access, Bank of America CashPro, Citi, Northern Trust, or similar)
• Strong Excel skills; experience with treasury management systems or accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, etc.) a plus
• High degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive financial information with discretion
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with banks and internal stakeholders
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced environment
