Worship Leader

Opportunity Description:
Two Rivers Community Church in Dayton, OH is looking for a worship leader to prepare worship sets, lead worship practice sessions, and lead us congregationally on Sunday morning. We’re a Southern Baptist church with a liturgy that follows in the reformed tradition. We love to sing Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs both new and old. We’re looking for a brother who would be willing to lead us on Sunday in accord with this tradition. As a church we value discipleship and mentorship and would welcome the opportunity to intentionally invest in a developing worship leader if the candidate is interested. Compensation: $6000/yr

Time commitments: 6-8 hrs/wk
– Worship set and schedule prep: 2.5 hrs
– Wednesday music practice: 1.5 hrs
– Lead Worship on Sunday morning: 3 hrs

Responsibilities:

Worship Schedule:
– Worship set schedule
– Volunteer schedule

Music selection responsibilities and considerations:
– Recommend new music alongside the worship team for addition to the song list
– Select Scripture, and songs that display the gospel on Sunday morning
– Give consideration to liturgical structure with guidance from the elders

Wednesday night worship practice:
– Lead the worship team in practice
– Provide feedback Sunday morning

Worship leader (48 weeks):
– Read Scripture on Sunday morning
– Lead us in singing on Sunday morning through the worship set
– Lead us in reciting our confession on Sunday

All responsibilities will be fulfilled under the leadership of the elders at TRCC
