Job Title: CNC Machinist Job Description
This role requires a skilled CNC Machinist to handle daily setups and operation of CNC milling and CNC lathe machines in a dynamic job shop environment. The position involves machining a variety of short-run and custom parts made from mild steel and stainless steel, necessitating frequent changeovers and independent work.
Responsibilities- Interpret prints and travelers to guide machining operations.
- Perform full machine setups for CNC milling and lathe machines.
- Load and prove out programs efficiently.
- Set tooling and offsets accurately.
- Make in-process adjustments to ensure precision.
- Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
- Adapt to changing priorities throughout the workday.
- Proficiency in CNC machining, including setup and operation.
- Experience with CNC lathe and CNC mill.
- Skill in programming, setup, offsets, and tool changes.
- Ability to work independently and with high attention to detail.
- Expertise in manual CNC operations, including Bridgeport mill, manual lathe, and manual mill.
- Competence in interpreting blueprints.
- Experience in a job shop environment is preferred.
- High attention to detail is essential.

Work EnvironmentWork in a small CNC shop with a total of 12 employees, where you'll wear multiple hats and contribute to various aspects of operations. The environment is a bit dirtier, reflecting the nature of the job.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of LAKEVILLE, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
