Tribal; Public WorksOwnership: 100% employee-owned (ESOP)Travel: Up to 5%Work Schedule: Full-time in officeSponsorship: Not availableWhat You'll DoAssist in engineering analysis, design, field inspections, report writing, permit applications, and site drainage and grading design.Perform basic calculations based on assignment, including hydraulic calculations, traffic projections, piling or rebar calculations, and calculations to balance site earthwork.Assist in designing water and sewer systems for smaller private and larger municipal systems.Assist with grading and stormwater designs for commercial, industrial, and residential site plans.Interact with clients to understand needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively while building and maintaining client relationships through professional communication.Work as part of a project team to support the execution of consulting projects, and assist in project planning and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives.Assist with documenting design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoring project design progress.Analyze low to medium complexity engineering tasks and propose innovative solutions, and collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions.Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements.Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil engineering, contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG, and prioritize safety and regulatory compliance in all aspects of engineering work.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.Work within the project's monetary budget and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.What You'll BringRequiredEducationBachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent requiredRequired Skills/AbilitiesBasic skills or knowledge with AutoCAD Civil 3D software and the ability to complete AutoCAD training sessions as quickly as possibleKnowledge of design techniques, tools, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specificationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsEagerness to learn and adapt to new challengesAbility to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groupsProficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight staysPreferredPrior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferredEngineer in Training (EIT) License preferredPhysical RequirementsRegularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 poundsOccasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pullWill have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noisesAbout the TeamSurvey-driven civil team across Montana and northern Minnesota with strong tribal and public-works workTribal infrastructure for Fort Peck, Red Lake, and Crow Tribe including road realignment and transit facilitiesWater system improvements, roadway design, and wetland delineation for county and municipal clientsRecent work includes Fort Peck Milk River Road Realignment, Transportation;
