Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:Parsons welcomes an exceptional systems engineer to join our on-going Science and Technology (S&T) efforts at one of the Army’s premier R&D Centers at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. As part of the program supporting advanced radar capabilities development, you’ll be an integral part of a government and contractor team using state-of-the-art engineering and modeling tools and applying subject matter expertise in the areas of advanced radar technology, modeling and simulation, and software/hardware development for current and future Army radar and sensor systems.Responsibilities:Provide engineering support to radar science and technology effortsLead the technical execution of multi-year Department of Defense advanced radar projectsLead test planning activities and provide on-site test support to support radar division projectsAssist the Government project lead with project management and technical work as neededLead development of analysis/simulation capabilities to explore/test new radar concepts and processing techniques (from small proof of concept scripts to large multi-file object-oriented programs)Use simulations and small-scale tests to model and assess performance of existing systems, to inform viability of proposed or experimental capabilities, and to design large-scale test event configurationsImplement solutions to complex technical problems related to signal/data processing and radar systems designAnalyze radar data products to determine performance of systems and/or algorithmsWork with radar subject matter experts and Army representatives to identify promising paths for future investigation / developmentReview deliverables from external contractors to evaluate project progress and make recommendations for future directionPresent results and analysis to external contractors and government stakeholdersRequirements:B.S. in electrical engineering, computer engineering or physics2+ years of experience with MATLAB5+ years of radar systems engineering experience5+ years of experience with RF signal/data processing5+ years of experience with RF simulation and/or test designExperience leading the development of RF systemsActive Secret ClearanceDesired Qualifications:M.S. in electrical engineering, computer engineering or physics10+ years of radar systems engineering experience10+ years of experience with radar signal/data processing10+ years of experience with radar simulation and/or test designExperience leading development of new radar systemsMATLAB expertiseC++ experienceActive TS / SCI ClearanceSecurity Clearance Requirement:An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
