Corporate Accountant

We are partnering with a respected mining organization that is seeking Senior Corporate Accountant to support their growing team. This is a fully remote position, but candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship to be considered. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Corporate Accounting & Close Own corporate G&A accounting, including journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly close activities. Post and reconcile corporate cash activity, support monthly cash reporting, and provide cash forecast inputs for treasury. Consolidate corporate and site financial results, including allocations and eliminations. Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, financial statements, flux analysis, and variance analyses. Support quarterly and annual SEC filings (Forms 10-Q and 10-K), disclosure checklists, and supporting schedules. Assist with external audits, quarterly reviews, internal controls, and SOX compliance documentation. Payroll, Equity & Process Improvement Review payroll, support compensation accruals, and own stock-based compensation accounting, including RSU expense recognition and equity roll-forward schedules. Identify and implement improvements to close, reconciliation, and reporting processes. Collaborate with accounting, treasury, payroll, finance, and external auditors, and support special projects as needed. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, accounting principles, and SOX/internal control environments. Advanced Excel and ERP system experience. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory requirements. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience. CPA or CPA candidate preferred. Experience supporting SEC reporting and filings. Big 4 or national accounting firm experience preferred. Experience with stock-based compensation and consolidated financial reporting preferred. Mining or natural resources industry experience preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
