Purpose:
The Parts Warehouse Clerk I performs customer service and stocking duties related to the receiving, sale, and delivery of parts and accessories that contribute to the efficient and profitable operation of the dealership.
Responsibilities:
- Stocks ordered parts in assigned locations in a timely manner.
- Assists the Parts Manager with merchandising displays by delivering showroom inventory.
- Assists in maintaining a proper and current inventory count using barcode scan gun, while monitoring shortages and expediting processing through reporting to Parts Manager.
- Verifies receiving and receipting-in of parts shipments and may contact customers once parts are receipted.
- Conducts quality inspections when receiving shipments by checking for damages and noting any issues or discrepancies on the bill.
- Assists in keeping Parts Department clean and orderly.
- May supply Service Technicians with parts as required.
- Provides assistance at the counter when needed.
- Loads and unloads trucks using a forklift.
- Inspects forklifts and notifies management of any safety or mechanical concerns.
- Assists with shipping and receiving of store transfers, as well as monthly surplus returns to John Deere.
- Collects, sorts and bands pallets as directed by Parts Manager for monthly returns.
- Assembles some products before placing them on the showroom flood. These products may include but are not limited to: Pressure washers, pedal tractors and Stihl products.
- Support management in the pursuit of corporate policies, plans, goals, and long-term objectives.

Experience, Education, and Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Understanding of mechanical and technical terms.
- Knowledge of parts operating systems preferred.
- Interpersonal skills are needed when dealing with customers and co-workers.
- Should be service oriented and always be willing to assist the customer. Basic sales training may be provided in order to support customer calls.
Essential Eligibility Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License preferred.
- Forklift Certification

- Visual Acuity:
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (includes inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Operating Equipment: Safely and efficiently operates forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, load, and unload materials. Adheres to safety protocols, conducts inspections, and maintains equipment in good working condition.
Warehouse Coordination: Effectively organizes and oversees warehouse activities to ensure smooth operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and workflow optimization. Coordinates with team members and other departments to maintain accurate stock levels, and the efficient use of space. Demonstrates skill in handling inventory to prevent damage and ensure accurate placement, contributing to smooth and organized warehouse operations.
Maintaining Inventory-PW: Track inventory count, monitor shortages and communicate discrepancies to the Parts Manager. Complete required paperwork and documentation. Minimal discrepancies found in inventory throughout the course of the year. The warehouse clerk takes pride in the integrity of inventory.
Showroom Presentation: Proactively assists in maintaining the retail sales floor and displays to meet the dealership’s standards and ensure customer satisfaction. Demonstrates high levels of motivation to keep the showroom clean, organized, and well-stocked. Takes initiative to address presentation needs and process improvement ideas.
