In-Home Caregiver

Position: Caregiver for Adults with Disabilities
Schedule: Part Time, Monday - Friday
Hours: 8:30am-12:30pm (20 hours a week)
Compensation: $22.75 per hour plus benefits!
Location: Antioch CA The In-Home Caregiver (Community Access Specialist) provides compassionate support, caregiving and supervision for adults with multiple disabilities. These services are provided within the participants home, and provides transportation for small group outings. This role focuses on supporting in a variety of ways including companionship, independent living, social, recreational, educational, community access, and personal health. This position enhances quality of life through enriching interactions and invaluable assistance. Employees in this position offer personal care when needed, including changing adult diapers, pushing wheelchairs, and assisting with feeding. Additionally, they track participant progress through data collection and accurate record-keeping. What You'll Do...

• Provide one-on-one and one-on-two sessions designed to provide stimulation, joy, and emotional support for Access participants. 
• Manage participants' medical and personal care needs, including assistance with bathroom use, changing of adult diapers, and assistance with feeding while collaborating with family members or support staff.
• Encourage people to participate fully in activities using prompting, cueing, and fading procedures appropriately.
• Take notes on progress on participant's goals
• Develops and implements behavior management plans, as needed.
• Completes records and reports, in a timely manner, as required by regulatory
• Serves as an advocate and a positive, professional role model.
• Provide personal care assistance, such as feeding and changing
• Interact in a positive, supportive manner with people who have multiple and severe disabilities

Must Have:

• Valid CA driver license
• Good driving record
• At least 1 year of previous caregiving experience

Compensation:
Wage: $22.75 per hour

Employer-paid benefits:
Medical, Dental, Vision, valued at approximately $419.54 per pay period (about $9.68 per hour)

Paid time off:
• 11 paid holidays + 1 birthday holiday
• 12 sick days per year
• 10–25 vacation days per year (based on tenure)
• 30 hours of bereavement leave
• Up to 2 weeks of paid jury duty

Retirement:
2% employer 403(b) match after one year of service

Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS rate for approved business travel.
Required business use of a personal cell phone is reimbursed through a semi monthly stipend.
