XRAY Technician - PRN

Radiology Technologist The Radiology Technologist is responsible for producing high quality diagnostic digital x‑ray images with special attention to radiation safety regulations, including proper documentation and technique. The role requires effective communication with patients and radiologists, and may involve training new technologists or patient coordinators. Responsibilities Produce high quality diagnostic x‑ray images. Apply radiation safety regulations and maintain proper documentation. Screen patients for contraindications and use aseptic injection technique as needed. Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists. Assist in training new Radiologic Technologists and/or Patient Coordinators. Troubleshoot the X‑ray unit and peripheral equipment, including computers and PACS. Position Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree or equivalent preferred. ARRT (R) certification and state license where applicable. CPR certification required. Valid state driver’s license (as applicable). Strong customer‑service, organizational, and multi‑tasking skills. Basic knowledge of computer applications. For fixed setting: Successful completion of a Radiology School. For mobile setting: Minimum one year of radiography or digital x‑ray experience required; local travel may be required. COVID‑19 vaccination may be a condition of employment. Must pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screen. Physical Requirements More than 50% of the time: Sit, stand, walk; repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs; see, speak, and hear to communicate with patients. Less than 50% of the time: Stoop, kneel, or crawl; climb and balance; carry and lift (ability to move non‑ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or to examination). Location & Travel Employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during transport of patients if working on a mobile unit. Ability to work at several locations. Local travel may be required.
