We are seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and professional Retail Sales Associate to join our fast-paced, family-owned jewelry store.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and is comfortable helping customers make confident purchasing decisions. In this role, you will learn our merchandise and product offerings, assist customers throughout the buying process, and help create a welcoming and memorable shopping experience.

As a member of our team, you will play an important role in achieving store sales goals while maintaining the level of service, professionalism, and trust our customers expect from us.

There are Full-time and Part-time positions available with opportunities for advancement and bonus pay incentives for the right candidate.

Retail Sales Associate Responsibilities

• Warmly greet customers and provide friendly, professional assistance
• Learn and maintain a thorough knowledge of our products, merchandise, and services
• Help customers compare products, features, styles, and options based on their needs and preferences
• Answer customer questions and address concerns accurately and professionally
• Make helpful product recommendations and guide customers through the purchasing process
• Build rapport with customers while creating a comfortable, no-pressure shopping experience
• Identify sales opportunities and make every reasonable effort to close the sale
• Accurately process purchases, payments, and other transactions
• Ensure customers receive the correct merchandise and receipts
• Maintain clean, organized, and attractive merchandise displays
• Restock and organize merchandise as needed
• Assist with inventory, receiving, stocking, and product organization
• Help maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming store environment
• Properly handle and secure merchandise throughout the day
• Follow all store security and end-of-day closing procedures
• Perform additional store and customer service responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous retail sales or customer service experience strongly preferred
• Jewelry sales experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, positive, and professional attitude
• Comfortable starting conversations and working with a wide variety of customers
• Sales-minded with the ability to listen to customers and help them make informed purchasing decisions
• Honest, trustworthy, dependable, and hardworking
• Reliable and punctual
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
• Basic computer skills
• Comfortable operating a cash register and handling financial transactions
• Basic bookkeeping experience is a plus
• Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus
• Ability and willingness to learn product features, specifications, and merchandise information
• Ability to work effectively in a busy retail environment
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and contribute as part of a team
