You’ll assess the environmental impact of packaging and food processing, turn data into actionable insights, and explore new ingredients and technologies that deliver real sustainability benefits. Key Responsibilities: • Lead hands‑on sustainability assessments using Nestlé Health Science’s internal Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tools to evaluate the environmental impact of packaging formats and food processing technologies. • Collaborate with cross‑functional R&D teams to collect, organize, and analyze key data—helping quantify the environmental footprint of ingredients used across Nestle Health Science portfolio. • Explore and assess innovative, sustainability‑driven ingredients and technologies, providing insights that directly shape future R&D initiatives. • Contribute to building sustainability capability within the R&D Center, helping teams understand tools, metrics, and best practices that drive more sustainable product innovation. Experience: Experience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) or other sustainability analysis methods. Skills in data analytics and visualization; proficiency in Power BI is a plus. Knowledge of packaging development and its environmental impact. Skills: Self-starters who are result-oriented, analytical, innovative, intellectually curious and who take initiative and risks. Excellent communicators (both written and verbal) who encourage others and excel in a team environment. Ability to learn quickly, embrace change, and thrive in a fast-paced, environment. Passionate about sustainability, curious about new solutions, and motivated to make a positive impact on the planet Areas of Study/Majors: Environmental Science / Environmental Engineering Materials Science / Packaging Engineering Chemical engineering Mechanical Engineering Biosystems engineering Food Science and Technology This internship will start as soon as possible in Bridgewater, NJ and will be full-time over the summer, with the possibility of transitioning to part-time in the fall. The approximate hourly pay for this position is $27-$28. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
