- Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses, working closely with physicians or independently (based on credentials)
- Providing education to patients and their families about prevention, wellness, and management of diseases
- Prescribing medications and therapies within your scope of practice
- Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care
- Meticulously documenting all care and interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Georgia
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent in your specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong clinical judgment complemented by a warm and approachable bedside manner
- Excellent communication abilities tailored to diverse patients, families, and team members
- Flexibility in dynamic, patient-centered facilities
- Familiarity with EMR systems and adaptability to telehealth technologies
