Portland’s coastal setting, vibrant downtown, and appealing quality of life make it a great place to live and work.Job Details\n \n Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)\n Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment\n Location: Portland, Maine 04102\n Healthcare Setting: Operating Room in a Level I Trauma Center\n Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts\n Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM\n Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week\n Contract Length: 9 weeks\n Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,360 - $2,480\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Job Requirements\n \n Active Registered Nurse (RN) license\n At least 2 years of operating room nursing experience; Level I trauma experience strongly preferred\n Minimum 3 years of Level I trauma-trained experience preferred based on unit needs\n Experience with gynecology and genitourinary procedures\n Proficiency with robotic surgery cases, including DaVinci Xi\n Experience with general surgery, GU/GYN, ortho trauma, ortho joints, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatrics, plastics, dental, and endovascular cases\n Ability to care for patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics to geriatrics\n CNOR preferred\n Strong teamwork, flexibility, accountability, and time management skills\n Responsibilities\n \n Provide safe, skilled perioperative nursing care in the operating room\n Support surgical procedures involving gynecology, genitourinary, trauma, and other specialty cases\n Assist with robotics, including DaVinci Xi, and use advanced surgical equipment\n Maintain readiness for trauma call and specialty team call as scheduled\n Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and the OR team to support efficient patient flow\n Deliver compassionate patient care while staying focused in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment\n Follow established safety, documentation, and infection control practices\n Adapt to a variety of surgical specialties and patient needs within the OR\n \n Apply now for this exciting travel nursing job in Portland, Maine, and join a respected surgical team delivering high-quality patient care.
