Line Cook

Responsibilities Oversee assigned areas of culinary production and work service. Execute recipes, maintain kitchen equipment, and always be on time. Use working knowledge of basic cooking techniques; measuring, knife skills, sautéing, grilling, roasting, poaching, etc. Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards of the restaurant. Qualifications Minimum 1-3 years of professional cooking experience in a restaurant or establishment of similar caliber. High School Diploma or equivalent level of education required (must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Organized, motivating, demonstrates excellent communication skills, personable. Working knowledge of reservation management systems highly preferred. Passion for pursuing cooking career.
