Job Summary and Qualifications The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance. Job Functions: Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care. Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines. Must learn and comply with System and facility safety policies and rules; must use appropriate safety equipment and procedures at all times; must immediately report all unsafe conditions to supervisors; must be familiar with all safety features of equipment, tools or materials encompassed by job duties; and must check with supervisors (prior to job performance) if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any job function. About the Unit: 20 bed Neuro Surgical Unit Caring for general neurological patients including strokes, ICU stepdowns, back surgeries, and seizures Supportive Leadership and welcoming staff What is required: Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree in nursing required BSN preferred Minimum of 1 year working as a Registered Nurse (RN) required 3 years of RN experience in an acute neuro setting preferred Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse required. If Compact RN license, must have TX RN license within 90 days of hire.
