Job Title Lab Assistant, Esthetician Agency Southern Crescent Technical College Job Description Lab Assistant, Esthetics Henry County Center (PART TIME) Minimum Qualifications We are seeking a candidate with the following minimum qualifications: Successful completion of the course(s) which are appropriate to the assignment as an assistant Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following preferred qualifications: Esthetician’s license Diploma in Esthetics from an accredited college or university Georgia Master Cosmetologist License Minimum of three (3) years of in-field work experience within the past seven (7) years Responsibilities The Esthetics Lab Assistant will be responsible for fulfilling non-teaching activities necessary to support student success in an educational program that prepares students for careers in Esthetics. The Lab Assistant works under the direct supervision of faculty members. Perform routine standardized laboratory work requiring close attention to detailed procedures in the preparation and basic maintenance and operation of laboratory equipment, inventory and requisition of supplies Assisting faculty in supervision of students assigned to laboratories Administrative responsibilities and other duties as assigned Competencies To excel in this role, you should possess the following competencies: Knowledge of postsecondary vocational/technical education Knowledge of the college’s academic programs Ability to support student success through advising, communication, and engagement Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Customer service skills Ability to collaborate with faculty, academic leadership, and external partners Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement Salary Salary will be commensurate with education and work experience. This is a part-time position without insurance benefits; work hours will not exceed 29 per week. Hourly rate is commensurate with education and work experience.
