Neuro ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Seattle, WA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Neuro ICU Registered Nurse with strong experience in neuro critical care. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing patients with neurosurgical conditions, including hemorrhagic stroke, SAH, aneurysms, and other vascular malformations requiring surgical intervention. The nurse will also handle mild to severe TBI and SCI cases, including planned surgical tumor removals and acute stroke management.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill neurosurgical patients
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, neurological status, and dysrhythmias
• Manage external ventricular drains (EVDs) and post-craniotomy care
• Perform arterial line management and care for ventilated patients
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and support for patients and families

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of neuro ICU nursing experience is required
• Active RN license in the state of Washington
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with EVDs and crani procedures is mandatory
