About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Current and valid driver's license or state-issued ID required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Must be willing to float to other areas as needed - No more than five days of requested time off will be accepted - No holiday time off requests will be accepted - Candidates within 75 miles will not be considered Description: The role requires a registered nurse with specialized skills in managing patients in an intermediate care setting. The ideal candidate should have experience in handling cases such as strokes, bariatric surgeries, and acute respiratory failures. Candidates will be responsible for a patient ratio of five patients per nurse during both day and night shifts. The registered nurse will perform various critical nursing tasks, including but not limited to managing central lines, administering blood products, and providing post-operative care. Experience with Epic charting system is essential. Certified candidates will be well-versed in protocols for managing dysrhythmias and administering high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy. Excellent communication skills and the ability to float to different areas as needed are necessary for this role. The position involves caring for adult and geriatric patients within a 34-bed unit. Qualified candidates must provide supervisory references upon request.
