Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient comfort, image quality, radiation safety, and accurate clinical documentation. This role operates imaging equipment, prepares patients and procedures, and communicates clearly throughout the imaging process.

 

Responsibilities

• Performs various activities necessary for the preparation of the patient and the procedure room for the radiology procedures in compliance with the organization's policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.
• Operate fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and other imaging equipment during procedures.
• Assist physicians with vascular and non-vascular procedures according to the established company policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.
• Process x-ray images and archives to PACS to comply with the organization's policies and procedures for patient medical records and state regulations.
• Document procedure details and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
• Prepare patients and equipment for procedures.
• Maintain inventory, stock procedure rooms, and ensure proper functioning of imaging equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in radiologic technology.
