Medical Records Technician (Office Automation)

Duties

Help

Process requests for information applicable to patient's records such as medical histories, x-rays, laboratory and radiographic reports, pathological reports, clinical records and related data.

Log all incoming requests, date received, requester and date of completion.

Research and extract required information from hospital inpatient and outpatient records.

Process Congressional inquiries when appropriate or provides input to others when responding to Congressional inquiries.

Review and interpret regulatory criteria and changes thereto; prepare local supplements and standard operating procedures.
