Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview The Acute Care Float Pool is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care across multiple units, including medical, surgical, medical telemetry, surgical telemetry, infusion, orthopedic, and neurosurgery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and the ability to adapt to a variety of settings within the hospital. Shift Information
- Day Shift: 3x12 Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
- Night Shift: 3x12 Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Weekend Requirement: Yes - Every Other Weekend
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Manage patient assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, and implement nursing interventions.
- Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Float within the hospital units to provide nursing support and coverage as needed.
- Current RN license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in acute care settings.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required; Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification preferred.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and demonstrate leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Floating within the scope of practice in designated hospital units is required.
- No floating to sister facilities will occur.
- Applicants must be able to accommodate a maximum of 1 week for requests for time off.
- Guaranteed hours may vary, especially in cases of low census; staff may be called off or placed on-call based on operational needs.
