Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a vital role supporting students’ growth and independence as a contract Physical Therapist across two unique school settings in the greater Santa Fe and Albuquerque areas. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated professional eager to provide exceptional care to young learners at two locations, offering the chance to make a real difference in their educational journeys.
You’ll play a key part in fostering students’ mobility and developmental skills, working with children ranging from 18 months to young adults up to 22 years old. Your expertise will be valued through the school year, with manageable schedules and meaningful caseloads.
What we’re seeking:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with experience in pediatric or school-based settings
- Familiarity with the unique developmental needs of students from toddler to young adult
- Ability to independently travel between the Santa Fe and Albuquerque areas
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teams, families, and students
- Commitment to compassionate, individualized care
You’ll be responsible for:
- Providing school-based physical therapy services at two separate locations—both sites for two days each week (7.5 hours/day per site)
- Managing caseloads of approximately 10–15 students at each campus
- Designing individualized treatment plans to support students’ mobility, motor skills, and access to educational environments
- Documenting progress, meeting federal and state requirements, and participating in IEP meetings
- Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
