Rider Assistant — No Driving Needed, Flexible Schedule, Competitive Pay

Position Overview:

We partnered with HopSkipDrive to find compassionate Rider Assistants to accompany students with special needs during their rides in your area. You don't drive — a separate HopSkipDrive CareDriver handles the driving. Your role is to ride alongside the student, providing comfort, behavioral support, and communication between the family, the driver, and the school, helping them arrive safely and calmly. It's flexible, meaningful work, and you choose the rides that fit your schedule. If you have caregiving experience and enjoy working with kids, this is a great way to earn while making a real difference.

How It Works:

Requirements:

This role is a great fit for caregivers, educators, and support professionals — people who already have experience working with children.

• Caregiving experience with children is required
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid government-issued ID (driver's license, U.S. passport, or identification card)*
• Smartphone with the HopSkipDrive app (iOS or Android)
• Pass our comprehensive certification, including criminal background check and fingerprinting

*In Texas, Rider Assistants must have a driver's license.
