Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

This is a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse position responsible for providing comprehensive care to obstetric patients across various stages, including triage, outpatient testing, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery. The role emphasizes collaborative patient management and education, utilizing specialized clinical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor obstetric patients in triage, outpatient testing, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery settings.
• Apply nursing processes to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Educate patients, families, and support persons about obstetric care and postpartum health.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate overall patient care effectively.
• Utilize OBIX and EPIC systems for fetal surveillance, documenting findings and interventions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience with current fetal heart monitoring certification.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification.
• NRP certification.
• Proven experience with OBIX and EPIC electronic health record systems.
• Ability to obtain or hold an Oregon state nursing license.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to educate and collaborate with patients and team members.
