Janitorial Staff

Part Time 16-20 hours/week 

$15.00/hour

Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning duties. This position is in charge of maintaining all public and private spaces at the Goodwill 700 Garfield Avenue location.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Dusts ceiling vents, surface areas and counter surfaces.
• Cleans facility floors by sweeping, scrubbing, vacuuming and mopping.
• Operates electronic equipment to clean facility floors and perform various treatments such as carpet shampooing and stain-removal.
• Collects and disposes of trash and recycling.
• Polishes furniture and room accessories as requested.
• Cleans and sanitizes shared common areas such as lunch rooms, restrooms, conference room and training room.
• Cleans all glass surfaces including windows and mirrors.
• Keeps all cleaning equipment in working order. 
• Reports repairs of equipment as needed.
• Reports the need to order additional cleaning supplies and paper products as needed.
• Ensures the safe storage of cleaning equipment and products.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments.
• Ability to pay attention to detail.
• Knowledge of cleaning products supplies and techniques for general cleaning.

These work environment factors are general in nature and may vary depending on the specific position being filled. CONSTANT: Stand and near vision. FREQUENT: Bend neck; talk/speak; stand; and visual accommodation. OCCASIONAL: Lift and carry up to 30 pounds; rotate neck, static neck position; walk; hear within 5 feet and midrange vision.
