Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.Job Function: Assisting the sales department administrative work.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Included the Following:Update and maintains customer profile for the assigned regionProvide best-in-class customer service in accordance with the policy and objectives of AMI MetalsProcess customer ordersAssist Sales Reps in maintaining A/R integrityTimely responsiveness to action related e-mailsParticipates in departmental and/or other company meetingsDaily FunctionsRequired Skills: Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED. Experience in administrative support role for at least 2 years.Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write business correspondence to customers, reps, and managers. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Must be bilingual English+Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to work under stressful conditions. Ability to deal with irate individuals. Ability to work irregular hours. Ability to travel as required. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
