You’ll get to:* Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (including 4 & 5 axis mills, lathes, and multi-axis) to fabricate metal parts to precise specifications for prototypes and small production runs.* Receive and review CAD files and technical drawings from the engineering group for prototype and production projects.* Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and part specifications to determine required dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations.* Program CNC machines using Mastercam software to create accurate, high-quality parts.* Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job based on engineering requirements.* Inspect finished parts and prototypes for accuracy and quality using precision measuring tools and instruments.* Collaborate and communicate with engineers and designers to optimize manufacturability and resolve design or production challenges.* Maintain detailed documentation of CNC programming, machine setups, material usage, and process improvements.* Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines, tooling, or production processes as they arise.* Ensure a safe, organized, and efficient work environment by adhering to all company safety protocols and supporting general shop operations. **The Person:**You love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions. You also have:* Completion of a certificate or diploma program in CNC programming, machining, or a related field is preferred; or at least three (3) years of direct CNC programming experience using Mastercam or similar software.* 2+ years of hands-on CNC programming and operation experience, ideally with prototypes or low volume production.* Confident in reading and interpreting CAD models, blueprints, and technical drawings.* Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication.* Organized and systematic in handling materials, receiving, and delivery.* Strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail—including experience with precision measurement tools.* Demonstrated understanding of workplace safety practices and basic machine maintenance procedures.* Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, such as lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.* Collaborative team player who is genuinely invested in the success of the group, actively supporting colleagues, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a positive, high-performing team environment.* Coachable person who looks for best practices in operations.* Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time. **The Details:**You’ll receive a competitive salary and a great benefits plan, including:* Medical, dental, life, vision, disability, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement in addition to programs & benefits in support of your well-being.* Discounts on Stanley Black & Decker tools and other partner programs. **And More:**We want our company to be a place you’ll want to be – and stay.
