Travel Respiratory Therapist (RT) Location: Omaha, NE Assignment Length: 13 Weeks Shift: Days | 12-Hour Shifts (Rotating) Schedule: 48 Hours/Week Start Date: ASAP Agency: Talented Medical Solutions Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Travel Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a 13-week assignment in Omaha, NE, working within a long-term care and nursing home setting with a focus on pediatric patients. This is a great opportunity for a flexible clinician who is comfortable managing a varied caseload and adapting to rotating schedules. The ideal candidate is confident providing respiratory care across pediatric populations and thrives in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Key Responsibilities Provide respiratory therapy treatments, assessments, and interventions for pediatric patients Manage ventilators, oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway clearance therapies Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed Respond to respiratory emergencies and support resuscitation efforts when necessary Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Educate patients, families, and caregivers on respiratory care and equipment use Requirements Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program Active Respiratory Therapist License (Nebraska or eligible) Current BLS certification required ACLS and PALS preferred , but not required Experience with pediatric patients strongly preferred Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:8–1:10 Long-Term Care (LTC) / Nursing Home setting Pediatric-focused unit High level of independence with strong team collaboration Why Omaha, NE Omaha combines Midwest hospitality with a growing, vibrant city atmosphere.
