As an Inpatient RN, you will care for adult patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions while developing your clinical judgment, assessment, prioritization, and care coordination skills. Full-time and part-time day shift opportunities are available. Inpatient Med/Surg Nursing at Baystate Health Our inpatient Medical/Surgical units care for patients with a broad range of acute and complex medical and surgical needs. Depending on the unit and location, Med/Surg RNs may care for patients requiring: Medical/Surgical care Acute medical management Surgical and post-operative care Telemetry and cardiac monitoring Neurological care Renal care Orthopedic care Oncology-related care Observation-level care Higher-acuity Medical/Surgical care Specific patient populations and clinical responsibilities vary by unit.
